Partnerships and Licensing
Polypad is the best way to make mathematics visual and interactive online. It is used by millions of students and teachers, and we love partnering with other organisations and individuals. This page summarizes how how you can use Polypad. Please read our commercial usage guidelines for more details.
Integration Options
Polypad is free to access on our website. We encourage our users to share links to their work, or screenshots and videos created using Polypad, subject to the restrictions below.
Using the share tool in the sidebar, you can also generate code for iFrames, to embed interactive Polypad canvases on your own website or mobile application.
For more advanced use cases, we provide a JavaScript API. Developers can customise the features and behaviour though numerous options and event listeners, and interact with the canvas programmatically to build custom functionality. Learn more and generate your API key in our API docs.
Permitted Uses
- Educational use
On our website, Polypad is free for personal, educational and non-commercial use, subject to our Acceptable Use Policy. This includes private tutors for 1:1 or small group sessions. - Presentations and print publications
You can use images and videos generated using Polypad in academic publications like research papers or PhD theses, in YouTube videos, on social media, in conference presentations, in printed books (up to 2000 copies but excluding cover art), and in periodicals like magazines or journals. - Web or mobile application
You can use images, videos, iFrames and the JavaScript API on your own website or blog, including commercial use, as long as these are freely available to end-users, and not behind a paywall. For iFrames and the JS API, this is limited up to 10k requests per year.
If you share user-generated content within Polypad, you have to ensure that you also have permission from the original author.
If your usage exceeds the limits above, or if you have additional requirements like white-labelling or self-hosting, please contact us to sign a commercial licensing agreement.
Attribution Guidelines
When using images, videos, iFrames or the JavaScript API, you should include the following attribution in the first place they appear: "Materials created using Polypad by Amplify."
The Amplify and Polypad word marks and logos must never be used in a way that implies an endorsement or affiliation with Amplify where such a relationship does not exist.
